Activating Love

Had a great time in Oceanside partnering with Current Church to Activate Love with exactly 12 Jesus/followers from three different churches in the area. More than enough people to turn the world upside down! I love the more personal connection that’s possible in smaller workshops. Jesus definitely had the right idea!

Luke Bricker & Samuel Madson joined me in presenting different dynamics of Gods love, and the amazing Haven Madson brought the heavenly hammer down musically. Ron & Kimberly Ohst of Grace Vineyard Fellowship were, as usual, spectacular hosts!

Then everyone went out to express Gods love around the town for a couple of hours in the afternoon in teams of 2 & 3 led by Michael Aplikowsky, Steve Rogers, Peter Taylor and Luke, Sam, & Haven. During the wrap-up time at the end of the day each team brought reports of their own personal breakthroughs out in public and of the people that they met who encountered the love of God in one way or another. One team spoke with a young man who wept with gratitude as they unpacked the gospel for him for the first time in his life. Another team member reported that she had broken out of a bubble of fear and now was excited to continue to reach out and love people around her out in the community. A team was talking to one young man who had complained about severe heartburn. A few minutes later, as they continued to relate to him he reported that his heartburn had vanished.

Gods love us at the same time the simplest and most complex, the gentlest and most powerful. The power of Gods love heals and frees and empowers. Looking at ones-self, others, and the world through a lens of Gods love changes literally everything. Such a transformative adventure! Kingdom come!
